What an awesome experience for our online Accessible Film Studies class this week!

The incredible writer, director and producer Megan Riakos, who is also a co-founder of WIFT Australia, was a guest tutor online. Megan is considered the queen of dark for her work within horror and thrillers, so for our students who are exploring the horror genre at the moment it was a real treat.

You can see how happy everyone is to be a part of this session 🙂

Image: a screenshot of a Zoom session, in the main picture Megan is smiling. Down the side of the image are a mixture of smiling faces and students profile photos (of drones!).

How amazing was it to celebrate the power of Auslan with the Li's on last night's Australian Story. The connection to community through language is so important, especially today as we celebrate Auslan Day. Thank you Sophie for sharing your story.

It was such a beautiful episode and so exciting to see our friends at the Queensland Ballet featured as well.

If you missed it, click through the link to watch it today!

“When we first discovered Sophie's deafness suddenly our life become very quiet.”

A toddler in the house usually means plenty of noise. But for this famous ballet family, things fell silent.
